To all you women out there who feel self
conscious whenever you go out, who feel awkward when trying to strike up
a conversation with a total stranger, who hesitate to meet new people,
and especially for those of you who feel like they can never amount to
anything, the feeling of being empowered is simply opposite these
things!
It's the feeling of confidence-
that you can do anything you set your mind too!
Yes, the feeling of being able to conquer anything is what women
confidence is all about! It's about believing in yourself that you can
succeed in your career and personal life. It's about having no qualms
about your abilities to succeed. To be more concrete the empowerment of
women results in being able to speak in front of a large crowd without
trembling from stage fright, in being able to strike up a conversation
with someone you just met, and generally, in being able to fight for
what you want and what you believe in.
Deep down, I know this
is what every woman dreams of: to gain confidence to be able to chase
after her dreams and achieve their goals. Ultimately, to be able to wake
up every day with a smile on her face-anticipating what the new day
will bring. So, if you want this, here are a few tips I would like to
share with you. They're quite simple, but when they have become a part
of you, then you're on your way to becoming the empowered woman that you
want to be.
Stand up straight.
If you think your posture is
good, check again. Look in the mirror and make sure your back is
straight. Line up against the wall and feel your back pressed onto it.
Standing up straight may seem inconsequential, but it actually
symbolizes the way you are, the way you see things and the way you
approach life. It means you're proud of who you are and that you're
ready for anything.
Open your eyes while walking.
Notice
everything and everyone around you. You never know who you'll meet and
you never know if you've just come across an opportunity or an
inspiration that will change your life is you don't look. Many things
happen while in transit and it's best that you be aware of them so that
you don't miss out on anything.
Say what you mean and mean what
you say.
Yes, it might sound like a cliché, but it really is meaningful
and effective. When you practice this, not only will you be known as an
honest and sincere person, but you'll also get used to speaking your
mind and being heard. Of course, you still need to practice some tact as
being overly blunt and crass are things you should avoid.
Enunciate!
This is very important because even if you're speaking your
mind, it really won't get across if you don't speak clearly. Also,
people find it annoying to have to ask you to keep repeating what you
say and the meaning of what you're saying is lost. It's also important
to know how to modulate your voice. Know when to use a soft voice and
when to speak louder, like when you're outside and there is a lot of
background noise.
Garbage in, garbage out!
This is very
important. When you start thinking of negative thoughts, throw them out
immediately! Always be optimistic and positive things will surely come
your way
